Jessica's 2018 Reviews

Hey, WhiskeyHey, Whiskey by Kaylee Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

***ARC provided by Author via GiveMeBooks.*** I volunteered to read this story and these are just my thoughts. No form of payment was received.

Wow what a story! This was my first read of this year and it was a great choice. A couple books later and I am still thinking about Saylor and Rhett.

Saylor goes through the loss of the only mom she really knew, gets dumped by a loser (totally his loss) and has walls built up to protect her. She is a strong character that has her weak moments. She is one of my all time favorite characters! I loved her!!

Rhett comes to town to help out his ill grandfather, He realizes he shouldn't have stayed away so long and works on getting gramps to forgive him for not being there. He finds other reasons to stay.

The chemistry bewteen Rhett and Saylor is great! I loved the first meeting, I love that Rhett kept working to break down the walls Saylor has up. The secondary characters are awesome and I would love to get their story!

Thank you Kaylee Ryan for another amazing read! I highly recommend this story. One Click this when it releases!

View all my reviews The Catching Kind (Brew Ha Ha #3)The Catching Kind by Caitie Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this book via @QuirkyBlindDateWithABook. This is my thoughts and only my thoughts on this story.

This the first time I have read this author. I loved this story! I loved that Hailey was an author and in the book world in general. I love baseball so I loved that Connor was a baseball player. There were so many sweet moments in this book and that is one of the reasons I loved it so much. I loved the chemistry between the two. I loved how they both were trying to keep their hearts out of it but no way was that going to happen. Conner was sweet and yes cocky.. I loved everything about him.

I have looked and see that these characters have another book and I can't wait to get it.

It's in His Kiss (Brew Ha Ha, #0.5)It's in His Kiss by Caitie Quinn
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is the second book I read by this author, after reading book 3 in this series, I wanted to go back and read the others.

This one is a quick read. I personally thought it was ok but I wanted so much more. I am hoping that the author gives us more of these characters because I wanted so much more. This one is about an YA author who is needing to make her character a little bit more. She needs to give her a boyfriend and a first kiss.

This book is very YA and maybe even a little to much. There was only once kissing scene. I was just getting into the story when it ended.

When Love Walks (Book 2 of 2)When Love Walks by Kate Squires
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was glad to finally pick up the second part of this Duet. I am kicking myself for taking so long. This story took me on a roller coaster of emotions. I felt what the characters were going through. It has taken me a couple days to write this review. You do need to read book 1 before this one.

Alora and Logan have overcome so much and believe that they are at the HEA, but they are still so many things happening to threaten that. I hated putting this book down because I was so invested in their story. Can they overcome everything that is tearing them apart? Or will they end up broken and not be able to find the HEA they are searching for. This book has is heartbreaking moments where you just want to cry, it has happy, and some scary as well. This story is going to take you on a ride of emotional feelings but it is so worth it.

The Boy FriendThe Boy Friend by Mika Jolie
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I liked this story, A friends to lovers story. Dean and Cori were best friends forever. The story was funny and cute. I didn't really connect with the characters. I felt this story would have been a better read if it was in dual POV. I am not a huge fan of single POV as I feel it takes away from the story. I could put this story down fairly easy.

Dean does some stupid things and hurts Cori but in the end he somewhat redeems himself in my opinion.

If I Didn't Know Better (The Callaways #9)If I Didn't Know Better by Barbara Freethy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A great story. Romance with a little bit of suspense. I did figure out who was the villian in a sense pretty easy but it didn't take away from the story for me. I loved Jeremy and Mia. Ashlyn stole my heart and it broke for her with what she had been through.

Explicitly Yours - A Platonically Complicated NovellaExplicitly Yours - A Platonically Complicated Novella by Mika Jolie
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This story was good, I didn't connect with the characters like I was hoping I would eventually do. The storyline was good. Dean doesn't want kids right away and Cori does. This causes a tiny bit of conflict as Dean is afraid Cori will call off the wedding. Does she? Well read to find out

Dark Romeo Complete Trilogy Box Set: A Mafia RomanceDark Romeo Complete Trilogy Box Set: A Mafia Romance by Sienna Blake
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thank you Sienna Blake for the ARC of this box set . These are my thoughts and only my thoughts on the story. No form of payment was received.
Love Sprung From Hate

“Look past the last name I was given. You know me.” This is my favorite line in the book, because I know exactly how it feels to be judged by a last name.

The chemistry between the main characters was off the charts. I love how this author wrote this mafia book because it is so different then any of the others I have read. There is suspense, love and hate. The supposed bad boy and the good girl. I love Roman! I need the next part like now! I need to know what happens next.
The Scent of Roses

This continues right where book 1 Love Sprung From Hate left off. You need to read that before this one.

The chemistry between Roman and Julianna is off the charts. There is so much to this story and I don't want to give anything away.

This is a must read book filled with drama, violence and some really hot sex scenes.

Hanging in the Stars

You must read books 1 and 2.
I received an ARC, these are my thought and only my thoughts. No payment was received in any form.

It is so hard to write this review with out giving anything away. This was a great end to Romans and Juliannas story.

I wasn't sure after how book 2 ended if these two could over come what happened but they did. Then something else happens and I am still thinking how can these two overcome anything else. Will they?

This story is an emotional, it has everything from betrayal to loyalty, sadness to happiness, a bit of everything. I highly recommend this trilogy.

Messy LoveMessy Love by Stephanie Witter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a good read. This story may take you on an emotional ride, there were parts that were really sad. This is a story about young lady who is looking to find answers from her birth mother. She gets more than that, she finds man who is so broken that he pushes pretty much everyone away. This story kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know how it ends
.
Steal YouSteal You by K.D. Robichaux
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I volunteered to read a copy of this book. No form of payment was received.

Wow,this story is so good. It will grip you from the beginning and not let go until you read the last word. I have read one other book by K.D. Robichaux but this is the first time I have read CC Monroe. This is so well written you wouldn't guess that two people wrote this book.

This book has a bit of darkness to it, it has some twisted things going on. The characters are unstable at best but I loved them. Once I started this book I didn't want to put it down. I highly recommend this story!

That NightThat Night by Cecily Wolfe
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I loved the topic of message in the story, its one that I think needs to be out in the world more. There was some formatting issues that were driving me nuts but I pushed through and read the story.

I didn't feel that I connected to the characters in any way. I liked them but I wanted so much more from them. I wanted more of Paul in the story since the synopsis made him out to be a main character but he wasn't at all, not even really a secondary character he was just there sometimes.
The author really needed to describe the characters so readers could get a feel for what they looked like. I got confused a lot when it went back to the past, there was no warning so I got lost and kept looking back to see if I missed something.

I was hoping that some of the questions I had during the story would be answered by the end but they weren't.

I do recommend this story just for the fact of the message on drug abuse and that it only takes using one time for someone to die.

Truth Revealed (Confession Duet, #2)Truth Revealed by K.D. Robichaux
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Okay so this is another one of those why the hell did I wait so long to read this story. You must read book 1 before reading this to get the whole story. Don't be a dumb ass like myself and wait forever to read this one after book 1.

I loved Corbin and Vivian. This story is more muture then book 1 and so damn good. I was sucked in and didn't want to put it down. This is raw and painful and so beautifully written. My heart broke for both Corbin and Vi. Situations in life change people and it did in this story as well. Could be for the better or for the worse depending on how each reader feels. Thank you KD for another great read.

I look forward to reading Seven in the next week or so.

On The Edge (The Brazen Boys, #2)On The Edge by Daryl Banner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow this is a hot quick read. I loved Derek and Edge. I want more of these characters.

Dorm Game (The Brazen Boys, #1)Dorm Game by Daryl Banner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I liked Michael. I didn't connect with Andrew at all. I enjoyed the story I guess I just wanted a little more feeling from Andrew.

Owned By The Freshman (The Brazen Boys, #3)Owned By The Freshman by Daryl Banner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If your not into M/M books then you may not want to read the Brazen Boys.

Like always with Daryls words, you will get the funny and the hot all wrapped up in one. This is no exception. You will laugh and you will most likely get hot and bothered. Daryl has a way with his words that pull you in no matter the length of his story. Another great quick read.

On My Knees (Bridge, #1)On My Knees by Meredith Wild
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed the story, and I loved Cam. I didn't connect with Maya the main female character at all. To be completely honest I didn't like her much at all. This story was very easy for me to put down, and read other books while reading this one. I personally thought Cam deserved better. There did come a time where I felt for Maya and what she was going through.

Just because this wan't really a great read for me doesn't mean you will not love it! Grab a copy of this story and give it a go.

I am a huge Meredith Wild fan and have loved everything else I have read by her!

After We FallAfter We Fall by Melanie Harlow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this story. It has its moments where you may cry, some where you will laugh. I connected with both the main characters and also the secondary characters. I need to go back and see if we get more of the other characters stories as I want more of them.

Jack is a strong willed man, he is just pushing through life not really living. He wants to live life but he feels guilty so he just pushes those around him away and has a wall built up so tight so hopefully no one can get it.

Margot is determined She wants more out of life then what she is getting. She works in PR and is hired to help the Valentini Brothers get more exposure for their produce from the family farm.

The chemistry between Margot and Jack is of the charts intense. Jack is feeling guilty and doesn't want to move on so he does what he does best and pushes Margot away.

Will Margot be able to help him realize that its ok to move on and be happy? Or will the guilt Jack feels rip them apart and leave them both miserable and alone?

Chasing CassidyChasing Cassidy by D. Kelly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this story. It had me feeling oh so much. One minute I was laughing and the next crying. I loved Zack. I loved how he wasn't going to give up on Cassidy no matter what. He loved her and there is nothing that is going to change that.

Cassidy struggles with feelings, she was taught that she was unloveable from an early age. She has gone through so much and still she is strong, loves more than she knows and is loved more than she knows as well.

I loved the relationship between Zack, Rylee and Cassidy. I am planning on reading Rylees story soon as I loved her and want to see what goes on with her.
The Book Splash Horror StoryThe Book Splash Horror Story by Cassia Brightmore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMG Cassia Brightmore please don't ever let me get on your bad list lol. You write some wickedly sick stuff and I love it. This is no exception.

The book splashers are excited to go on the week long trip, all fun times to be had until its turned into the nightmare of their lives.

Straight Up Irish (Murphy Brothers, #1)Straight Up Irish by Magan Vernon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I volunteered to read a copy of this book, these are my thoughts and only my thoughts on this story.
Thank you to the publisher, Net-Galley and the Author.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I can't wait to read more. I loved this story from beginning to end. I didn't want it to end, I loved the characters that much!

Connor is a playboy no denying it. Fallon is his brothers assistant. She has called Connor several times to tell him to get his butt to the office. Their first encounter face to face I loved it. The chemistry is great. I love that Fallon calls him out when he needs it.

Starts out as a fake relationship for him to keep the company (Clause in the will his Da had drawn up) and to help her out with student loans and her nana's care. Will the two find a happy ever after or will one or both of them end up broken hearted when all is said and done.

I look forward to reading about the other two brothers and see who they take up the challenge thrust upon them by the stipulations in the will.

Just an Illusion - Unplugged (The Illusion, #4)Just an Illusion - Unplugged by D. Kelly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I volunteered to read an early copy of this story. D. Kelly has done it again. This story will give you the feels just like all the other books in Just An Illusion series Side A, Side B and EP. You do need to read those before you read this one.

This is Sawyers point of view and I was so happy to get back to Sawyer as I was #TeamSawyer from the beginning. I still love him, and he will forever be my ultimate book boyfriend. I called dibs on him back in the beginning and still call dibs.

The bond between Noah and Sawyer is strong but at times its strained. I hope readers that thought Sawyer was shallow and just a player feel differently about him after reading his pov. To me he was the really nice guy, sure he was cocky, and a dick, but he put everyone one else first.

I can't wait for all he fans of Just An Illusion series to read this book. I loved Sawyers songs in the book, I wish this band was real and that we could hear them.

Girl TalkGirl Talk by Cassidy Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I volunteered to read a copy of this story. These are my thoughts and only my thoughts on the story.

This is the first f/f book I have read. This is the authors first book and she did a great job. I look forward to reading more of her stories.

Autumn answers her phone when its an unknown caller, thinking it was a wrong number. The caller continues to call her and they start a friendship of sorts. Autumn is single and trying to find the one. Going on several blind dates, and a couple repeat dates, but all are ending badly or just not really leaving her feeling like its going to go somewhere.

The phone calls are leaving her wanting more, and in the end maybe she will find her person, not the one guy she seems to be looking for.

I loved the sweet stuff that the person on the other end of the phone does for Autumns birthday, it shows that there are some caring people out there.

I'm Straight- Autumn
So is Spaghetti until its wet Unkown Caller

Smooth-Talking Cowboy (Gold Valley, #1)Smooth-Talking Cowboy by Maisey Yates
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Thank you Net-Galley, the publisher and author for an ARC of this story. These are my thoughts and only my thoughts on this story.

I enjoyed this story, what starts out as a fake relationship between Olivia and Luke. The plan was to make Bennett ex boyfriend to Olivia jealous. Olivia is the good girl never get into trouble or do anything that might be gossiped about because her twin sister was the total opposite. I hope get the sisters story as she wasn't in this story just a little background to explain why Olivia is the way she is.

Luke a hot lick-able cowboy. He has not had an easy life, he works hard for what he has and what he wants, secrets being kept from those close to him. He hides his true self from everyone even himself in a way.

I loved the chemistry between the characters. I loved the secondary characters as well and look forward to more books from this series.
I gave this book 4 stars for the fact that it was easy to put down for me, but the story is very good. One Click and see for yourself.

Him (Him #1)Him by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I listened to the audio book of this and loved it! The narrators were amazing and brought the story to life. The emotions the characters felt were strong and you could tell the narrators were feeling the emotions as they read. I loved this story. I loved the characters and how they dealt with what they went through. I look forward to reading US soon.

Flowers in DecemberFlowers in December by Jane Suen
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I read this book as part of #QuirkyBlindDateWithABook.
This story is about Connor dealing with the loss of his mother. I didn't dislike this short story but I didn't love it either.

I didn't connect with the characters, all though I did feel for Connor and what he was going through. The story was slow moving for me. I feel like something was missing. Yes this is about Connor coming home to deal with the loss of his parents and find closure. I think the author has potential to be great and bring us amazing stories. This came off to me more as a prequel then anything else.

Her Steadfast HERO (Black Dawn, #1; Midnight Delta, #2.5)Her Steadfast HERO by Caitlyn O'Leary
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read by this author. I look forward to reading so many more.

I loved the characters, and the story. Once I started this book I couldn't put my kindle down. I had to finish it. I loved Sarah and David. They had somewhat of a past together and life took them on different roads. They come face to face again and the feelings are strong as ever. I loved the dynamics of this story and all the characters involved. I look look forward to reading the next book in the Black Dawn series.

This book gave me all kinds of feels. It has its happy moments, and lots of intense and not so good moments. I can't imagine being in the job both the main characters have and what they see on a normal basis. I love reading military romance books and this one was great.
Enough (Iron Orchids Book 1)Enough by Danielle Norman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book! This is the first book by this author that I have read and I will be reading more. This story is about Ariel (pronounced REL) and Kayson. I love the name Kayson! He is a police officer for the sheriffs motorcade. Ariel becomes part of a female Harley riders group. I wouldn't say they are a MC but they are a group of women who love to ride bikes.

Kayson and Ariel meet by chance when she is attacked,he was off duty and came to her rescue. He felt a connection right away. They meet again by chance and Kayson is into her and wants to get to know her. Ariel has pretty much sworn off men because she was hurt in her previous relationship.

I loved the chemistry between them and I love that Kayson did so much to prove to Ariel that he was an one woman man and that he was in it for the long haul. The only thing I didn't really care for in this story was that Ariel kept making him prove himself over and over again. I look forward to reading more of this series.

Dog Tags (The Brazen Boys, #4)Dog Tags by Daryl Banner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another great read from Daryl. I loved the characters. This doesn't have the whispered lovey dovey stuff but it has plenty of action. The only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wanted more from the ending.

The Long Road Home: an Honor the Sacrifice AnthologyThe Long Road Home: an Honor the Sacrifice Anthology by Gen Ryan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I Volunteered to read this anthology. These are my thoughts and only my thoughts.

These stories are great. This is the first time I have read anything from these authors. I plan on reading more. These stories will tug at your heart strings

I absolutely love the cover for this book!

Worth Fighting For is about a military man who shows a single mom that she can believe in love.
This story had me sucked in from the get go. I loved the characters and felt everything the characters were feeling. I love Logan, he is a sweet boy. I love how Bowen interacted with Logan. It was super sweet. I want more of this story. I didn't want it to end.

A Terrible Beauty took me a little bit to get into. My heart broke for the characters. Veterans who went through alot in behind enemy lines. A great read.

Billy Daily is a great story. This one had me laughing at times and had my heart breaking at others. I really hope we get more of Billy and Max. Grandma Jean is awesome as well.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I Volunteered to read an ARC of this story. No payment was received.

5 Drum sticks is not enough.

This story gripped me from the beginning and as I finished it I was not ready to say goodbye to Lauren and Tristan. I had all the feels while reading this amazing story. There was a point when I couldn't stop the tears from falling and had to put my kindle down since I couldn't read the words thru the tears.

I have a thing for drummers and I want to find a Tristan for myself. He is everything any lady would want Loyal, Loves Hard, Hot, a drummer, funny. He knew what he wanted and he went after it.

Lauren was a little slower in what she wanted and tried to push Tristan away. One Click this book! Preorder today!

Impact (Iron Orchids Book 3)Impact by Danielle Norman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I volunteered to read an ARC of this story. No form of payment was received.

I really loved book 1 in this series. I have not read book 2 yet and this is book 3 and I enjoyed it but didn't love it. I really loved Daman and Bee. Katy I didn't lover her as much as the others but she was an ok character. She did a lot of internal struggling. At times she was really sweet and caring and other times she came off as cold.

Daman is a great guy, he is sweet, he is sexy and he has a heart of gold. He is a people fixer, he wants everyone around him to be happy and safe all the time. I loved his connection with Bee.

Bee is Katy's daughter and she was my absolute favorite character of this story. She stole my heart with everything she is. I loved when she would say what she was thinking, she had me laughing alot.

There were a couple of things in the story that I thought could have been better or left out, there wasn't enough info for it to be there. I wish the epilogue wasn't there because not all of characters had stories yet and I felt like I missed alot.
Overall this was a great read and I look forward to reading more.

Karma's PawnKarma's Pawn by K.D. Robichaux
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I Volunteered to read an arc of this novella. This is very short but oh so good. I need to go back and read the first one. This is #2 but can be read as a standalone. I am loving Brian. I want more of Brian and can't wait to see where his relationship with Clarice goes. You get everything in this short story. Hot Stuff, suspense, a lil drama and one hot alpha man!

Fast Burn (Body Armor, #4)Fast Burn by Lori Foster
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thank you Net-Galley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. I volunteered to read it and no form of payment was received.

This is the first book I have read in the series and I wish I had read the other 3 before this one even though it is ok to read as a standalone. I will be going back and reading the other 3.

Brand and Sahara are the main characters in this book. I really loved Brand. Sahara is a great character she is a strong female character. There were times I wished she would have let Brand and her team take care of her, not that she couldn't do it herself but at times I think she could have taken the shoulder to lean on. The chemistry between them is hot and I loved that Brand wasn't pushed over by her, and he got her to loosed up at times.

I loved the secondary characters that have already had their own books and I can't wait to go read them. I loved that Lori mentioned Rowdys bar from another series in this one because that was Rowdys story was the book that introduced me to the author!

I have been waiting for this story. Nate and Tara go through the ringer in this one. I was hooked and held captive from the get go and I need the rest ofnthe story.

OmG that ending.. WTF! Rachael thank you for another amazing story! I look forward to more!

Confessions of a Klutz (Confessions Series, Book #1)Confessions of a Klutz by Abigail Davies
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I read this book via #QuirkyBlindDateWithABook. This is the first book by this author I have read. I really enjoyed it. I can relate to Vi. I am a total Klutz as well but thankfully not as bad as she is! The characters are great. I look forward to reading more in this series, and more from this author in general.

I needed the little laughable moments this weekend so I chose a great time to read this book.

Misadventures with My Roommate (Misadventures, #10)Misadventures with My Roommate by Elizabeth Hayley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thank you Net Galley, Tour Company, Publisher and authors for an ARC of this story.

This is the story of Blake and Gavin.
co workers that become roommates and eventually more.

Blake is a bit on the weird side but I loved her. She is broken and just living her life without getting to close to anyone or so she thinks.

Gavin is a sweetheart. He is a great character who is always being put down by his parents

These two are just what the other needs. They are the missing pieces to help the other be complete and happy. This story has some pretty smoking scenes as well. Another great Misadventures story!

The Plan (Luck of the Irish #1)The Plan by Tracy Lorraine
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first story in a trilogy. It's a short and quick read. Addison leaves London after walking in on her husband cheating with her PA. This story is good. I love Blake and his daughter. The chemistry between Addison and Blake is hot and I look forward to reading the next part of the story One click this its a great start to a story and you will want to see what happens next atleast I am.

Over the Edge (Bridge, #3)Over the Edge by Meredith Wild
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story started out really slow to me but in the end I really enjoyed it.

Olivia Bridge has always done what was expected by her family, now that she has left town and went to help her brothers out with their business. She is ready to experience life how she wants. In the beginning I wasn't a fan of her, she came of very high maintenance. She is a strong character and in the end I did end up liking her.

Will Donovan is a businessman and contractor. He is invested in Olivia's brothers business and also in charge of building the new guy for the Bridge brothers. He is instantly attracted to the spitfire Olivia. He wants her and is willing to do just about anything to have her.

Ian is best friends with one of Oliva's brothers, and works with him. He has been told to stay away from Liv, so even though he has been very interested in her,he is keeping his feelings to himself and crushing from afar.

Will and Ian are roommates and often share women, it works for them. Will invites Ian to share a night of bliss with Olivia. The chemistry between the three is combustible. It is intense. Can a menage really happen in the society they all belong in. Its not at all easy for them and things happen that may tear them apart, or at least one of the three apart from the other two.

Will you root for the three to be happy together or will you root for her to be with one of the two? Read to find out.

Claim Me, Cowboy (Copper Ridge: Desire, #4)Claim Me, Cowboy by Maisey Yates
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thank you Net-Galley, Author and Harlequin Desire for the opportunity to read an early copy of this story. These are my thoughts and only my thoughts on this story. No form of payment was received.

Claim Me, Cowboy is about two people afraid to love. Both characters have been through a lot, both very different from the other but left them in the same spot, afraid to love.

This is a quick read that will make you feel so much. My emotions were a bit all over while reading this great story. I found myself feeling what both Danielle and Joshua were feeling, and found myself cheering them on. What starts out as a fake engagement to get back at Joshua's dad, and to give Danielle money to start over with Riley. The two find themselves feeling things that they never thought they would. Can this couple become a real couple and find true happiness after all they have gone through? Or will they end up heartbroken and alone?

One click this story as it is a feel good story with some sad moments.

Mission to Protect (Military K-9 Unit #1)Mission to Protect by Terri Reed
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thank you Net-Galley, Author and Harlequin for the chance to read this story. No form of payment was received and this is my thoughts and only my thoughts on this story.

This is a Love-Inspired Suspense book 1 in the Military K-9 Unite. Each book in this series is a continuation brought to you from another author, one book a month from April to December I believe. I believe this is the first book I have read by this author or it has been a long time since I have read her.

I loved the characters in this story. Felicity is a strong leading character whose life is so not going great, she is in the sights of a serial killer, she is grieving the death of her dad, having nightmares. She never gets any positive feedback from her boss. Westley is the other leading character, he is Alpha. He runs the K9 unit and he expects the best from his crew. He is also Felicity's supervisor. Yes, he harder on her then the others it seems.

This story gripped me from the get go and I didn't want to put it down. I loved the chemistry between the characters and I loved the dogs! I haven't read a military book in a long time that involved the K9 unit and I am glad I took this opportunity to do so at this time.

One of the mysteries in this story I did figure it out pretty early on. I can't wait to read the next book in the series to see what happens next.

I volunteered to read an arc of this story. No form of payment was received.

This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more in the future. I enjoyed this book, Manning and Gracie are great characters, and the story was really good. Manning is sent to the states to play hockey for the NHL while the king does damage control. Manning is doing his best to do right by his family, and Gracie. He is betrothed and has never been happy with the arrangement. Once Gracie gets wind of what is all going on and dealing with her part in it, she is bound and determined to help Manning get out of marrying the woman he is supposed to, even if she loses him all that is important is his happiness.

I say one click this book on release day as it is a great story, it had me laughing at times, wanting to smack someone at times. Its a quick read that you will enjoy

After AnnaAfter Anna by Lisa Scottoline
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Thank you St. Martin's Press, Net-Galley and Lisa Scottoline for the opportunity to read an early copy of this book.

This was a quick read for me. Total reading time was about 3 hours. I enjoyed this story. It's told in Dual POVs. Maggie's and Noah. Before and After Anna. There is a couple twists in the story. One I had partially figured out but not completely. This is a page turner and had me sucked in. I am giving 4 stars because I found the ending to be lacking a bit. Thanks for another great read Lisa Scottoline.

Misadventures of a Rookie (Misadventures, #11)Misadventures of a Rookie by Toni Aleo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thank you Net-Galley, PR Company, Publisher and Author for the opportunity to read an ARC of this story. These are my thoughts on the story and no form of payment was received.

OMG I totally loved this story. This is my all time favorite of the Misadventures series so far and made it into my all time favorite reads of all time. I so didn't want the story to end. I was hooked from the get go and when I finished the book I was so sad to be done with the characters and the story. I would love more of these characters for sure.

Gus is a hockey player looking to make it to the NHL. He is cocky, he is hot and he is an awesome hockey player. He knows it and he shows it.

Bo is going to school to be a sports PT, she works as an Ice Girl and she wants nothing to do with hockey players. She really wants nothing to do with the cocky Gus, but as much as she fights him off, there is a chemistry there that she can't fight forever.

I love that this hockey book actually had hockey in it, not just a player. We get game action and that is one thing I look for in a sports romance, is that the sport is actually part of the book. This book gave me the feels. At times I was laughing at the antics of Gus, times I was really sad when we get to know more about the main characters and what they went through in life. There is some hot and steamy scenes. I figured out part of it really easy but it didn't take away from the story at all. I loved the secondary characters, the teammates of Gus and the other ice girls. I would love their stories.

I didn't love Bo's mom, I really wanted to smack her upside the head a few times.

Thank you for another great book! Like all the other Misadventures books this book is a standalone.

KD has done it again. I freaking love Brian, Alpha through and through. I love him more with every new novella we get of him. Not one to let the evil guys get away. I love the chemisty between him and Clarise. I look forward to more!!!

Another great read from Brenda Novak. This is one of her older books. It was heart breaking and heartwarming at times. My favorite character was Haley. She is a 5 year old going through so much. She is dying from cancer and needs a bone marrow transplant.

Macy and Thad are great characters. Both had moments where I wanted to tell them to open their eyes and listen to their hearts.

This is a quick read!

Another must read from D. Kelly!!

Wait With MeWait With Me by Amy Daws
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I started reading this book at a car shop, while waiting for my jeep to get looked at. I found that time to be fitting to read this book, since its about an author writing a book at a tire shop. I wish I could say the spot I started reading this book was a great as the Tire Depots Costumer Comfort Center, but sadly it wasn't.

This is only the second book by Amy Daws that I have read so far. This one is my favorite so far. I loved Kate aka Mercedes and Miles. This book has it all going for it, humor, sexy time, sweetness and a little bit of Angst. The characters will work their way into your heart, and leave you wanting more when you finish their story. I loved the chemistry, the witty banter and of course their hot and steamy moments. I loved that both the main characters had real flaws and were both broken in some way. I think Miles was the most broken and I truly loved him.

I hope we get stories for the secondary characters as well.

I love that Amy wrote this story after telling her readers about finding her mojo at a local tire center. I love the cover, the smirk the model has on is exactly how I pictured it in the story. He was the perfect Miles.
