JaM Review: 5 Stars from Jessica

I was given an early copy of this book.

This is book 2 in The Scars series. Book 1 does need to be read first as this book starts where book 1 ended. 

Scars of us will take you on a roller coaster of emotions. I felt as if I was riding the rolller coaster right beside Izzy and Brax. After reading book 1 I had thought I had figured out who was behind Izzy being held captive and tortured. I was right but me figuring it out didn't take away from the story at all. I hated what Izzy went through and I cheered her on when she was fighting for her life, It was like I was standing on the sideline not able to help but wanted to. Can Izzy and Brax fight their way to HEA or will the one man behind it all ruin what they have? 

This is a must read series but it is dark and deals with some touchy matters to some readers it may be to much. I loved every word written. This is Rachael Tonks best work to date! 

I have to say I loved Nate and I hope he gets a book of his own. I need more more of him!

I received an arc of this book for nothing in return

I loved this book! I loved the characters so much. They were sweet, fun, a bit dramatic and very realistic. They were the type of characters I wish was real so I could hang out with them.

This book gripped me from the very beginning and didn't let go. I didn't want to put the book down cuz I needed to know what happened next but at the same time I didn't want to read it because I didn't want the book to end.

I love anthologies because you get a short little tidbit from each author, in this case, many were new to me and this stories were great! They were short, steamy and sweet. I received an arc of this book for nothing in exchange.
I really loved this book. I loved the characters. I loved the whole love/hate aspect of the book. How they have to overcome their opinions and opinions of others if they want a fighting chance to actually get together.
This book gripped me from the very beginning and it didn't let go. I didn't want to leave these characters.
This was a very fun book to read!!

This tight end is at the top of his game.

He’s good with his hands, even better with his sexy mouth, and the best at making me forget my own name. His—ahem—stats are perfect. But I can’t fall for him. I volunteered to read a copy of this story.

This is the first book by this author that I have read and I want to read more. This story is so dang good. I didn't want to put it down at all but had to because my emotions were all over the place. .

I thought I had this story figured out then I didn't once I got past the part I thought was coming I knew what had happened and I had tears screaming down my face as I read the words I didn't want to be there My heart was shattered.

This story will grip you from the get go, your heart will break at points but at others you will find happiness and love and all the great stuff that goes with it. This book easily made it into my top read of 2017. It has been days since I read this book and the story is still right there in my head and heart. I highly recommend this story to all readers who love an ugly cry with romance.

DC Renee has been writing all her life, from cheesy poems in elementary school (i'll share an example just so you know how cheesy: Flowers are my favorite thing; they usually bloom during spring. Pink, blue, yellow and green, so many colors that I have seen...etc.) to short stories and monologues, and eventually fan fictions for Days of Our Lives.

It was thanks to that superbly encouraging fan fiction community that DC found the courage to publish her first book - Let Me Go. It held fast in the top 100 Best Selling Contemporary Romance Fiction Novels on Amazon for over a month, going as low as the top 20's. Naturally, she loves to read, but she also likes watching hockey, dancing for fun, and loves her family.

Author Bio

Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.

She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.
